Bikes: Masi, Giant TCR, Eisentraut (retired), Jamis Aurora Elite, Zullo, Cannondale, 84 & 93 Stumpjumpers, Waterford, Tern D8, Bianchi, Gunner Roadie, Serotta, Serotta Duette, was gifted a Diamond Back
I got a new Jamis Aurora Elite last year. I have since added Tubus Cosmo and Tara Racks, spd pedals, new drop handlebars and Profile Design Airstryke clip-ons. The Ritchey Biomax bars wouldn't work with the Airstrykes.

I'm swapping out the whole gruppo... had DA 8 speed, getting SRAM Force with red shifters and some new Easton wheels.
The frame is an older Merlin Road that I acquired from a friend, maybe vintage early 90s, not sure.
Should get here in a week. No, I can't wait. Tempted to drive to Colorado Cyclist and show them how to run a warehouse.
3-5 days to pick a small order, pfft. Haven't been this excited about bike parts since I first moved to STI back in the late 90s.

Started out with a '78 Raleigh Record Ace, with factory flat bars and steel wheels, and a Suntour touring grouppo.
1) Swapped out the bars and stem for North Road city bars and a riser stem.
2) Swapped the hard viny brooks for a B33
3) Topeak rear rack that needed some kludging
4) NOS Winmann 27" wheels.
5) Conti Gatorskinz
6) IRC 5sp mega-range freewheel and SRAM chain.
The bottom bracket went, and that's when I said "screw it" - I was having a hell of a time getting up the steeper hills on my commute with it, too. By now it was autumn. So I bought my winter-bike/daily commuter -
Electra Townie 21D, stock rack.
I meant to keep it stock, really, buttt...
1) 60mm stainless fenders from V.O. (Dude, these are sweet. PITA to mount, tho.)
2) Security skewers from same.
And now I've got the bug, looking to swap out the ape-hangers for the North Road bars, swap the trigger-shifters for friction thumbies or barcons, dump the cheapy sprung fork for a fixed fork, put in an SKS chainboard, upgrade the cruddy Shimano Tourney running gear to something reliable...
...and now it's spring, so I want to work on the Raleigh, too - beginning with a new BB and a nice Sugino or V.O. triple crankset, and a Nitto Noodle. It will never end.

This year: Got a new bike.
Old bike: Specialized Globe Hybrid. Got it in '08 : Served me well, was my first time owning a bike since high school. Main reason I got it was for a commuter bike.
New bike: Kona Jake
Reason: I had been debating on getting a new bike this year or not for awhile, and then decided to join a charity ride from Toronto to Montreal which pushed me into the "new bike" direction.
I wanted a bike that was faster/lighter than my current bike and would be more appropriate for the trip, but still be my good 'all around' bike for getting around town / commuting to work. I don't really have the storage space to have multiple bikes, and the Kona Jake seemed to hit the right balance of what I was looking for. If I had the space for multiple bikes, I might have opted for a more road-oriented bike, but alas --- space is at a premium.
Planned changes: Switching to clipless pedals, getting cycling shoes for the first time ever, and putting on road tires when my training rides start getting a bit longer.
