Bikes: 1982 Huiffy 10-speed

easy seat

has anyone used one of these seats? they are those 2 pc seats that are supposed to prevent groin numbness, injury. i'm sick & tired of numbness from my old seat. any comments? shound i buy one? are they really that good as advertised--they are supposed to be doctor approved....

Pure crap. Look into a Specialized Body Geometry or a Brooks.

did you try one? they seem like a good idea because they eliminate the front horn that causes people numbness & pain....

When I owned my own shop I had a customer who raved about them so I bought a couple. When we had difficulty selling them, I'd offer to install one on the customer's bike and let them try it out. Not a good idea. That turned out to be a labor intensive no-sale. After we sold off all of the stock that anybody wanted, I put them in a box with a bunch of other stuff and sold it to another shop for a fraction of my cost. To answer your question a bit more directly, I never tried one myself.
