Need Help on groupset decision
Hi all I am in the market for a new groupset. Wanted to get feedback on the 2011 campy record or 2011 campy chorus. Is there much of a noticeable difference, would I be better with Chorus or Record. Your input would be much appreciated, thanks!!!!

IMO, the only difference is how much lighter your wallet will be if you buy Record over Chorus. The difference between the two is so tiny that it might only make a difference if you're a professional racer and you're losing races by tenths of a second- and then if you're a professional racer you'd be sponsored and be racing on the parts you're given.

Orbea2009, If you have the disposable income and a desire for the Record group, buy it. Is it better than Chorus group? As a complete group, yes, but perhaps not to the same amount as it's additional cost may suggest, unless there is a specific feature the Record has that isn't available with Chorus that you want.
Now-a-days the top two, perhaps even the third tier group from any of the component manufacturers is good enough for the fast B and A group riders or lower level CAT racers.

I looked at just this issue about 6 months ago. In the end, I couldn't justify the extra cost of Record over Chorus for the minimal gain. I'm really happy with Chorus-11. Have it on 2 bikes now.

Chorus is certainly the best value in the Campy 11 line if money is an issue. Just how much better depends on how much more is being asked for the Record group. It can vary from $3-500. You can compare the differences here:
https://www.campagnolo.com/jsp/en/groupset/catid_4.jsp
The prices difference is about $470 here:
