Bike Rodeo
I need your insight and ideas. I have put on bicycle rodeos in the past, but am looking at putting on a bicycle rodeo for adults during a festival in our community. A bike rodeo is something that normally kids run through, we check their helmets and have them preform obstacles like slow race, cone weave etc. If i was going to put on a similar event for adults, what activites would you like to participate in. What kind of activity on a bicycle would be a challenge and you could compete against other rides in a small area. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Here's a link that has some good suggestions on bike rodeos.
How about a bike gymkhana for the advanced riders. It is a time-trial in a confined space (one corner of a parking lot) with corners and straightaways marked out with traffic cones, and see who can ride it fastest. It's all acceleration, braking and cornering, a challenge to roadie and mountain biker alike.

slow race (last to finish without putting foot down wins), wheelie challenge (who can wheelie the longest), bike limbo (no foot down, who can duck the lowest and ride under the bar), and since it's adults, a wet t shirt contest (women compete only).
