Does anyone run the Xero Lite CXR-6 wheels on a road bike? How are they? Im looking for a cheaper pair of wheels for a older aluminum fuji road bike im building. I cant find any info on these wheels online. I know niagara cycles sells them through amazon and i know that they came on some fuji bikes at one point. Thats about all i know.

IM thinking of picking them up to start and then riding them until i can upgrade them. My thought is at least it will get the bike on the road sooner rather than later. The asking price on the set im looking at (200mi on them) is about $80) which is a fair price for used wheels. However...if they are absolute junk..i would like to avoid them.

My neighbour has a 5 year old Jamis with them fitted. Although not a top wheel- they are better than some OM wheels suppied on some bikes. They don't go out of true too much but there are better wheels out there. Perhaps not for $80 but as they are S/H I would get them Retrued by your LBS as I would do this with any new wheel to me after that milage.

That is subject to only having done 200 miles- the rims are not worn and the Hubs hare not filled with water.

A lot of times wheels need a little touch up after an initial break in period. Same with derailleur cabling.
