does your LBS...
have a public restroom?
seriously, I am curious. One LBS I have been to does, two I am not sure about, and one of them does not.
I was surprised that the latter one suggested I go down a few blocks to a restaurant if I needed to use a restroom, but if I have to go that far, I'm not likely to be back all that soon. Granted, the number of times I've needed to use a restroom while at a LBS hasn't been all that high, but I was thinking of taking my wife bike shopping at the LBS that doesn't have a restroom, but since we'd have the 3 yo in tow, he at least would probably end up demanding to go potty....

Most of the ones I frequent do, but my favorite/closest one... well, I've never had occasion to ask, but I don't think it does, because its a small little shack that barely has AC. It looks like someone subdivided a warehouse/loading dock and made several rentable units. There may be a toilet tucked in some back corner (legally there probably has to be), but its probably one of those tiny, airplane-sized ones... I guess it all depends on the shop. I know some stores in town have dedicated changing rooms, but this LBS doesn't sell clothes, its mostly a commuter/service shop.

My LBS gives me free beer occasionally. I haven't had to use the restroom yet, but I'd sure they'd let me if I needed to.
Oh, they also let me clean my wounds there when I crashed right outside the door.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.
I suppose there are a few bike shops that don't have rest rooms for employee use but I doubt it's a very high percentage. However, once a bike shop owner starts finding point of purchase packaging left in his rest rooms, he's likely to become less cooperative about allowing the public to use them. It's just one more example of how thieves steal a little bit of freedom from all of us.

It's in the single seat rest room. They are close to downtown and part of the idea is to allow commuters to use the shower if necessary. I don't think they really have too many takers.

My LBS has a public shower.
here there is a bathroom , but not really public, Its in the shop,
we let some Traveling folks use it, but not the street dwellers ..
There is a Public Restroom in town, it is part of a WW1 War memorial statuary
Oldtown, western end , on OR 30.

When, I ran a bike shop, I never denied a request to use the rest room, even to passers by who were not there to shop. I had a separate fitting room to try on clothing.
I also had built a shower into the rest room, mostly for my own and employees use, but had a customer asked to use it, I would have cheerfully allowed it.
For all the times it was actually used, it was cheap goodwill.
