Buying Campag

I am in the process of searching for best price for a set of campy shifters. PBK has the Veloce for 130/set and Centaur for 189 (or vice versa). Good prices on campag? I know that i can only go up/down 1/3 on these as they are 2011, but seems that they are less common on ebay.

What prices or other places for campag should i be watching for. I have a general idea what different shimano tiers go for, but I am unsure of pricing (even though the majority seem cheaper than shimano) is a good deal.

Looking specifically for 10spd to hubbub with an existing group off of a different bike

I would check Shiny Bikes and Ribble. They both charge shipping, but their Campagnolo pricing seems to be the lowest out there.

don't forget to deduct VAT. Even though Shiny Bikes puts the USD price in paranthesis, the VAT is not deducted.

I've never paid VAT or shipping from PBK.

"Most" of the UK shops have the currency and country to ship in at the top of the page. Some deduct VAT--20% value added tax that all uk residents have to pay-- automatically and some don't. Best advice is to compare prices amongst the various online shops and see about shipping charges.

My Favourite online shop is Merlin Cycles and if you want MTB wheels- Handbuilt wheels of the top quality then this is the store to go to.

https://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+S...evers/list.htm

This site has the currency at the top of the page and on the right at the top you can price it out with or without VAT.

This is one shop that has not hit the BIG time in the US but they only used to be MTB but a couple of years ago moved into road. Well worth a look.

And on Ergo and Centaur sbrifters- better priced.

thanks for the help guys, picked up some veloce shifters for just a bit over $100 USD. Also got a seatpost. Shipping was $8.10. I added 1 more item and shipping went up to 25, so ordered a 2nd order for some other parts. i guess i doubled my chances of customs grabbing them

Add to that, US sellers don't include the cables and charge more. All the UK sellers include the cables, a $40 value.
