Everytime gas prices increase, the bicycle industry sells more bikes while less cars are sold within the United States.

The U.S.A must keep gas cost increases at a minimum, just to sell its automobiles.

Bikes: Fuji Nevada - winter/bad weather ... 80's Nishiki Prestige ... 80's Basso Gap

You guys can put whatever political spins you like on this but, I'd take a couple things as facts ... there's only so much oil on this earth, and someday its going to run out ... it might not be in our lifetimes, but when it happens there's going to be hell to pay unless we come up with a different energy source. I don't know that riding a bike is going to make a lot of difference in the long run though, I just ride cause I like riding.

If anyone here really thinks we will ever go back to oil lanterns, candles, horses and row cropping in the south 40, forget it. Ain't going to happen. What, you guys all get a DUI or something and cannot drive?

We are flabby and spoiled, us Americans! Here's something we should install at every bus station in America!!!
Encourage more cycling in Amercica by changing the majority of streets to look like this:

It might come closer to that than you think...

Given the state of the US economy and infrastructure we just might be in that situation.

Why do I get the feeling that you've gotten a DUI yourself?
