But you folded. Shied at the first hurdle. Took your bat and ball and went home. Spat the dummy. *Almost* the same thing happened with your NY mates on another thread, but at least they had some graciousness, and we came to an amicable conclusion. You remind me of the kid on the bike that PWRDbyTRD passed... all glory but no guts when it became tough. |

Sure thing. I'll be sure to come to Australia to get my Phd though. I understand that you are frustrated for some reason and keep on posting totally unrelated stuff. If you wanted to contribute to the thread, why not post form beginning? I see you one of those who judge others by their clothes or by their hair stile, wake up its 21st century. Good luck man, no heart feelings, but you need help. Maybe more cycling will do the trick.

how about going and collecting stupid comments from every other person on this thread. Did you ever read them? I'm sure rowan can handle thing himself

Just to be fair to everyone, when someone on a motorcycle screams by a cyclist who's huffing and puffing to catch up and then the motorcyclist laughs and gloats, I hope we all understand each other's point of view.
Yes, we're all entitled to our opinions. I just don't find any pride in gloating over beating a kid riding a cheap full suspension, poorly fitted, poorly functioning, underinflated, walmart bike, especially if I'm an adult and he's still in high school. If dude comes up to me and we're pushing 30mph weaving between traffic trying to beat each other to the light, then that's some friendly competition and we can both laugh about it at the end. But if the former makes you happy, then good for you. |

Hopefully other cyclists on bike forums will want to hear about good days. It really can be encouraging to hear about any kind of a good day on a bike. Especially in the winter time. |
PWRDbyTRD never claimed he was Lance Armstrong. He never declared that passing the kid made him The Greatest Cyclist Who Ever Lived. PWRDbyTRD just enjoyed telling us that he had passed someone who passed him. That's one of those small pleasures that makes cycling fun. And there's nothing wrong with that.
Congrats, PWRDbyTRD. I hope you keep having fun (and that you keep telling us about it). |
jesus h christ on a dancing pogo stick....
This has to be the most deliberate thread crap ever. Look, Pwrd is a rather large guy, he was merely having a bit of joy in the fact that he is becoming a stronger rider...leave it at that. The other side of the coin is how it's kinda funny how the guys with the wally world bikes try to race , and more often than not fail at it. I had a guy in san jose say he could make it from santa clara st (downtown SJ) to tasman drive in 12 mins...well I raced him the other way, tasman to santa clara)...I done it in 19....he got there 10 mins later....guy in a "honda racing" (actually made by Pacific, I done my research) FS bike....the guy also weighed at least 100lbs less than I did at the time....yes I was d**n proud....it also made me laugh with how much he bragged about his bike being a 'race bike', and me with a DB outlook with rack, panniers, and all sorts of "commuter crap" totally wasted him. |
