Wouldn't describe it as a bicycle.

"six battery-powered propellers"

An *electric* helicopter is not a "flying bike".
THIS is a flying bike: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gossamer_Condor

Great. Now instead of hearing, "On your left," we'll be hearing, "Above you!"

"Above you" so pedestrians will know to let out a sqwak and jump straight up.

Anybody else think it might be able to fly for longer than five minutes, if they'd built it from something a little lighter than a fat bike?

LOL and what happens if you have a catastrophic malfunction? Answer: You go down like a stone!
I think I will keep riding by bikes on the ground. Thank you very much!

I find it sad how quickly this has been forgotten. It's now in the National Air and Space Museum.

Gossamer Condor and Albatross were both powered by a guy turning the pedals.

it took off and landed on 2 wheels.

Indeed:
- airplane: Failure mode -> becomes a glider.
- helicopter: Failure mode -> becomes an auto-gyro.
- multiple small fans (ducted or unducted): failure mode -> becomes a rock.

This is the problem with things like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moller_M400_Skycar

When some bikes now currently weigh less than 9kgs, I'm not sure I'd classify a 95kg vehicle as a bicycle just because it happens to have 2 wheels.

No need for a a catastrophic malfunction, just the air turbulence from truck, buses or wind gust from between high rise buildings will send it to the ground or building side.

Flying bikes. Wow.

Next thing you know, they'll make pigs fly.

Well if you put a pig in a wing suit, it will sort of fly.
