I think those coconut helmets were designed by the Professor and tested out by Gilligan and the Skipper. Mr. Howell probably financed the whole operation.

You may be right. I would have left the meat in for padding....

$35.00 no more. Bell w/visor: The vents are very effective. However, in the winter I use a head liner to keep the brains and ears just right and for the hot rides I use a head band and never had a problem. The helmet is at the right price for me and thank god I have yet to need it’s services. The funny thing is that I purchase a new helmet about every 5 to 8 years and I really do not have any real reason other than strap wear or something. My most resent was that I like the idea of the removable visor for my commute. I would like to say this that vents are very important to the long distance riders I know of. I know of one guy that just got one. Our group talked about the price for 43 miles. His wife just did not quit understand his needs at the time.

I don't know. I'm the only cyclist I know apart from some bike salesmen with shaved legs. I just assumed "safety hat" would be acceptable by the general consumer here

I really don't understand why you would need a safety hat/helmet down there.

Since you are riding upside down, if you fall off your bike, won't you just go up into the sky??

Doesn't that make a race down a mineshaft a hill climb?

There's a "men without hats"/"safety dance" joke in here somewhere. I'll leave it to the professionals to find.

I hear what you're saying mate. I never have been able to figure that one out myself. I always thought we'd fall up too, but there must be a point where you'd start falling back down, I really don't get it.

Oh now that's just sad. Have you no compassion, no soul? Mechanical engineer. Why not carve out his soul with a Dremel tool while you're at it?

/Ontopic: $40 dorky Bell helmet. The helmet is dorky but the red ponytail sticking out the back MAKES it cool.
