The Hovenring in the Netherlands
My wife and I biked to this incredible structure today. This is a suspended ring above an intersection.
We took seven photos but because of the size I couldn't upload them to this post. (Are there limits to size here?)
At any rate, here's a YouTube video which should impress most everyone. Enjoy!

That is one incredible way to deal with cycling through a busy intersection.
I'm guessing the cost was more than the annual budget for entire cities around here, but I am thinking a trip to the Netherlands is in order just to ride that if I ever get to Europe.

What's interesting, I learned that the roads for the cars were made lower so the entrance ramps for the bikes wouldn't be so steep.
As to the price. I'll try and find this out which shouldn't be too difficult. I should add that the Hovenring has been in existence for two years but I only recently learned about it. I'm certain it was covered in all the news but somehow I missed it. (We could have been on vacation.)

Pretty typical for overpasses and underpasses and "cuts and fills" in general. Earth is taken to depress the lower level and used to build ramps for the upper level. The basic idea is that no material needs to be brought in or removed from the site, though of course there are often other considerations.

The one Euro amount I saw regarding that construction was ... €23,000,000.
That seems like a lot of money.
