Yup, and likely my last. Knees and shins aren't enjoying the abuse. Despite my incessant whining, I'm actually looking forward to it. It's been a personal goal of mine for a while now.
Getting back on topic...no riding today...too much rain.

27 miles in perfect weather.
I met four out-of-town tri bikers on awesome bikes. (A Specialized Transition, Guru, Kuota, and one I didn't see).

Yeeesss, I had planned for a nice 50 mile loop (sneaking up on my age) this morning, and we instead went on a brief grocery-getter. Less than a mile into the ride I got this tight feeling in my back, and only consciously flattening my spine would help - couldn't be much use at the Farmer's Market, either. I foresee some flat on my back today, with lots of ibuprophen -- grrr.

32 miles on a BEAUTIFUL morning to be out on the roads. A little breezy, but just enough to cool you off. Fall is coming quicker than I would like, but this in-between time is my favorite weather for riding. Felt good to get back on the bike after almost 2 weeks off

I'm going to meet my maker tomorrow. I'm doing my first MTB race in a year, and my teammate is dragging me into the Expert race. Even with all the practice I've been getting in I'm not sure.
Either way, I've got a FS rig with hydraulics and 2.3in Specialized mudbogger tires.

Spent the week in NO IL and made it out Saturday, 9/6 for a 25+ mile ride. North from Woodstock to Hebron then east and south back. It was a great morning as the temp was perfect and hardly a breeze.

I raced the MTB today at the Big Valley Race. I was in the Expert race, 19-29 age group.
Despite heavy rain all morning and last night, the course was AWESOME. It wasn't dry, and wasn't wet, more like a slightly tacky trail that was very enjoyable.
Unfortunately, in the first half of the first lap (of 3) I lost focus and caught my front wheel in a dip, and the bars came around, smacking my left knee.
For the next 5 or so miles, I either limped up hills, or pedalled the bike with my right leg, and I pulled in once I got to the S/F line. The race doctor checked my knee and says that a tendon to the outside of my knee is badly bruised, and possibly torn.
Well, I'm out for a ride on my new Pursuit bike.

about 3 miles on my comfort bike looking for my 15 year old. He was mowing some old ladies yard that could not do it herself, and for free. At least every once in a while he does good.

9/7 - 75 miles @ Harmon Hundred. Great day and perfect ride. It was also nice to meet BFNIC crowd at the rest stop and watch them passing by and cheering me up when I was slowly pushing my bike up that hill... :-)
Doing 35 Mph downhill was great too!
