2 hours today. It was supposed to be tempo, but I was tired from yesterday's 50 minutes at threshold. Averaged about 220 watts and 19 mph for 40 miles.

you will be amazed how well those transparent dressings work.....they are kind of expensive but your wounds will heal twice as fast if not faster compared to gauze dressings. I am a nurse you can trust me on this

3-26-09 Did the commuting thing on my SS Bianchi. Already feeling a million times stronger than I did in '08 by this time. Pushing that 30lb+ beast up the hills between my house and my workplace is relatively easy already. All that running I did during the winter along with the hours on the trainer are paying dividends.

PSI gave me a call at 3:45 telling me i should leave work and meet him out in geneva with his team. I decided it was a good idea, but at 4:20 i was still over an hour away. I turned around...did my boring 20 mile ride at home.
BooHoo...

I had an eventful ride today; it was my first day of real training (I decided to wait 300 riding hours before I went into "I hate riding" mode) I did 3 minute intervals, and I raised my winter bar by 30 watts, and after burning 1900kJ (1900 calories), I did my last interval and it was a few watts above my previous record. So it was a good day. I'm goign to try and get a short ride in tomorrow before my 14 hour shift.
I ran into another one of my old teammates, "Lionnel", we chatted for a while and a few hundred feet from his house he broke a spoke on his real wheel, which effectively crippled it.
After I turned around I caught the draft of a motorcycle and drafted at 35mph for two miles, much to the amazement of the cars behind me.
Later I rode past a ride from a local team with a month in it's name, and not realizing he was still behind me, sprinted to catch the same motorcycle rider as before who just passed me. Apparently the cyclist thought I was trying to race and launched a full-out attack on me. So I caught him after he bogged down and he continued to press the pace. It felt foreign, but familiar to be deulling it out in a breakaway-type co-op.
Then it happened. We passed him.
We passed Mike. At first I didn't think anything of it, but my brain caught up with me and I thought "Oh sh*t".
Mike is maybe in his late 60's, early 70's, skinny as a wire, rides a lot, looks like a Fred, but can drop most local riders like nobody. I first met Mike three years ago before I started racing, and even though I was pretty fast, he could drop me. The guy perplexed me.
So yeah, the rider who launched the "attack" backed out and said "man, I gotta save up to get home" which really meant "I'm not worthy of his draft".
So I chatted with Mike briefly before he turned off.
