That reminds me of this big mistake I made about a month or so ago.
I rode in sub-freezing temps and my hands and feet were BURNIGN with pain. I hopped into a hot shower immediately after getting home. I didn't even bring my bike into the basement.
As I'm in the shower practically crying my hands, feet and ankles are turning purple.
Long story short, my ankles, feet and hands were swollen all night long.

1/29 17 miles total. Took my SS to work and back. A bit cold at 20F w/ a 20 mph headwind on the way home, but felt nice to be out on the bike.
1/31 15.2 miles. Would've gone longer, but didn't go out until late and quickly started to run out of daylight. First time outdoors on the road bike this year. Felt AWESOME to be out there.

Got my first short ride of 2009 in tonight. A quick two mile jaunt to the Redbox to pickup a movie. Whoo Hoo, it's begun! I don't count trainer miles.

35.6 miles in 2h 43min today from Norton Shores, MI to Muskegon State Park Campground and back.
It was windy, cold and wet. My toes were frozen in my Lake shoes, but not as bad as in my Sidi's. Next cold ride I'm going to use toe warmers.

I didn't ride today, but I did ride on Monday. And on Tuesday. And on Wednesday. And on Thursday. And a nice little ride on Friday for which I had to bust out the arm warmers as the temps dipped down to 60 degrees and it was raining.

I lowered my seat a scoche and tilted my bars up just a little for today's ride. Felt really good as well. I had lot's of power and no knee issues besides a little residual "calf pull"

95 miles on the fixed gear around the Emerald Necklace. By some unexplainable force I made it out alive.

2/2- First of all, F Punxsawtawny Phil. Second of all I was so sad I didnt ride yesterday, I rode today. It was very exciting.
In tremont I nearly ran over a cute little puppy walking into the street hiding behind a parked car. Leash law anyone?
On detroit I had to dodge a snowball infront of the deliquent school.
Rode past Spin and had the willpower to not stop my ride to drool over SR11
Had close calls with 3 cars.
But it was a sunny day and every cloud had a silver lining. 34 miles.

30 some more miles. I cam so close to breaking in the new Giant, but I didn't I ran into another one of my old teammates.
I love my track bike, it lets me accelerate like crazy in a sprint, and it climbs shallow grades quicker than anything else.
I can't wait until I get my new one.
