Did you ride today?

Time for me to log in.
My first real ride of the year. 45 mins of MTB on the Racine County gravel bike path. Rather wet and slow, but it was 60+ and sunny. First day of the frogs croaking trailside. LOUD! Will grab a video cam tomorrow and share.

I rode my nice country back roads through the hills of Brown County down through Nashville on over to columbus and back home. One GIANT circle. Twice this week and I think I'm done with that venture for awhile. Its a total of 60 miles round trip. I did this Monday and today. I am deff feeling the burn! :O

sounds like a nice ride. Did you go back roads? 135 and 46 would be scary.

I took back roads up until 135, then followed it to 46. It was quite the ride. Are you local? My legs feel like they have melted off my body. It was busy traffic but amazingly alot of people gave me a decent amount of space. I've only had a couple people that wouldn't move over.

I live in Greenwood less than a mile from the mall. I have been thinking about a ride down to Nashville pretty soon.

Well I'm on an old yet lovely 81' Miyata, still a bit of a novice(riding two years) but am getting the hang of it. If you'd like to ride together when you do come down let me know. It was alot of fun going up and down those hills. I got up to some pretty fast speeds. Some cars had issues overtaking me a few times!

Took a break from my usual 25-40 mile rides and managed to get my girlfriend out on the bike today. (This has been a struggle in the past) So we hit up the towpath for 10 miles or so plus whatever commute on the road to the towpath and back. About 2 miles.
On Thursday Nights they do free concerts downtown so we stopped and had a bite to eat after the ride and enjoyed some music. Here is a shot of our bikes at the place we ate. You can figure out which bike is who's.

Bikes: 1992 Gary Fisher Montare, red. 24" Murray mtb now mini-tall bike. 26" Trek 3700.
Bike trail between Oregonia & Corwin, Ohio.
I swapped a kickstand on the Huffy Sentinel from my small parts stash. The bike now doesn't tip over now easily. Tightened the loose bullhorn bar and then rode part of the bike trail (Ohio Bike Route 1) with my wife round trip between Oregonia and Corwin Ohio. About 12 or so miles. Stopped and had lunch at the Little River Cafe. A very pleasant afternoon.

Did the 50 mi loop of the North Shore Century with the kids (13,11,9 & 7). Little cool but a nice ride. The kids really liked it. The 11 y.o. DNF'd with a blown RD on Deerpath and Ahwanee but that was so close to home we called the MOM wagon (as opposed to the SAG wagon) to pick him up. Finished up with the other 3 and went for ice cream.

Rode 20.8 miles today 12/23/2012, 33* out, little breezy, not bad though, sunny and dry. Rode a lap around Nimishilla Lake Reservoir(southern Akron, Ohio)back to Jackson Park with several Stark County Bike Club members.

About to set off for today's ride. Its my day off work so I will probably end up putting more miles on the bike than just my usual run to work, I think I would have a heart attack if I knew how many miles I ride every day so I don't keep track( no cars allowed where I live) I wonder if dodging tourists on tandems, horse drawn carriages and the road apples the horse leave behind plus pedestrians add more distance to the days travels.

I rode today from Farmington Hills Michigan to Downtown Detroit (just over 20 miles).
It took 1 hr 15 mins.
This was my first time riding this route and then actually going to work after cleaning up and changing into my work clothes in the bathroom (no shower facilities).
It worked out well.
My new pannier bag worked great, but it would have been better if I had two to balance out the load and the bike.
My rolled dress shirt and dress slacks unfolded without being wrinkled after a few minutes of wear.
Will probably do it again today or Thursday.

Not today, but Monday evening I headed out to West Branch State Park (NE Ohio) at dusk. Rigged the lights and rode the lakeside trails - something like 6 miles in 1 hr 15 min.
Love night riding, and with autumn approaching it's even better. Hope to get a chance for a full moon ride when it cycles around again - when the leaves fall it's amazing to take a night ride without lights...

Rode the mountain bike trails at Beaver Creek State Park (eastern OH) this weekend. Just a tad slick, but soooo great to get out and ride. Plus a group ride on our towns new(ish) bike trail Saturday morning.
Way colder temps and snow coming in the next few days may make the next ride a bit more difficult...
