10/4 46 miles again today, and another cool and breezy day, but well worth the effort. I really like the fall riding.

10/03, 20 miles
Cold, rainy, windy fall day here. It took me awhile to work up the ambition
to get out the door and ride, but I was glad I did.
10/04, 33 miles
Nice sunny crisp fall morning. Rode in to my parents house to see my visiting sister in law.
A new land speed record for me, 17 mph average.
Cheers.

35 miles last night. I broke my left brake lever on a descent and rode home with just a rear brake. I picked up a saddle sore because I didn't use any creme, expecting a shorter ride.
Got a new lever put on when I got home, and I went out for a 60 miler today. The saddle sore was awful. It started hurting a few feet from my door. I roughed it out for 60 miles of taint-ular torture, but it felt good to ride.
When I got home, I checked on the status of my sore. I looked down there and gasped when I saw it. A baby-fist sized, festering blood pocket. Ouch.

I'm debating whether to ride today or not. The sore is mostly gone, but remnants of it are still there.

Hosted a chilly Ride-To-Work thing today! Had 4 people come in, not bad considering it was in the 40s when we left! Had a tri-guy, a casual "roadie", and a hipster on a fixster. Good times!
Got a couple more to add for the nice ride home!

Tsuru, all you needed was a curmudgeon on a recumbent and you'd have a full house!
58.6 miles down and around Spencer. Fabulous day to be alive, and doin' fine.

lol! no kidding, right? only had one venture home with me, but she did great! Hope to have more if it warms up for a day here and there, or if someone wants to go at a winter day with me. If not, come spring, I'm sure I'll get a few.

been off the bike for a week. getting over a cold. hopefully back on at cross practice tomorrow. Haven't really been able to ride my new road bike much at all.
Lots of cross to do this weekend. Will be fun watching all the pros at the UCI3 races.

Had a second, yet unofficial Ride-To-Work ride in today with someone who missed Monday's. He borrowed my Kapu and there were 40mph gusts going on.... we kicked some ass!

10/8 40 miles, very unfriendly wind today, just couldn't find a way to get it behind me, then the last 10 miles in the rain. Oh well they can't all be perfect rides.
