2 hours with my Stark Velo team. It was also my first outdoor ride since ankle surgery Dec. 1st. It was great to be outdoors riding again.

Happy New Year to all.

finally got out the house this week to ride. Felt what an inmate must feel on release.

Rode nearly a century this week. legs killing me. Still got to get a trainer. Anyone selling one for cheap?

Finally outside...27 base miles. What happened to the sunshine? 38F and dank this AM. I hope the rain holds off until later tomorrow. I'm tired of the rollers...

Cleveland Craigs list has several listed in the past couple days. There also are 3 or 4 wind trainers.

3 hours on the cross bike. I came back so muddy! It was nice to ride without gloves today.

Are the roads pretty clear? Does Milwaukee keep the trails and bike paths clear of snow?

100 miles, just over 5 hours. 23-27F temps, 20-30 mph winds. Bonked with 17 miles to go and had to face a headwind and frozen hands.

After recovering and crying for a bit, I realized that I wouldn't ever choose another sport over cycling.

I can't decide if I think you're awesome or stupid.

...

Well, ok, you're awesome. I ALMOST wish I was that hard core.

I've yet to ride outside this year.

I Wrote the previous post in a weird state of mind. I was thinking that there were 100 minutes in an hour. My time was 5:27 for the 100 miles. Not wuite as hardcore, but I'll deal with it.

My fingertips are still hurting. I think I'm going to try out my rollers tonight whne I'm done writing a new post on my blog. My first newspaper interview comes out tomorrow!

Dude, 5+, 5.5, 6, 7 whatever... A century in yesterday's weather is pretty bad ass. Reminds me, I need to get Breaking Belgium on my roll:blog.

An hour on the rollers today. 49x15 gear on my track bike. My first time on them in almost 3 years.
I managed not to fall. It was a little weird to get started at first, but now I'm fine.

It was really weird going from my winter bikes with only 2-3 inches of saddle-bar drop to my track bike, which has about 12-14 inches.

Attended the indoor two hour trainer class tonight and completed every drill and interval. I am getting back into the grove. It has been 8 full weeks since the ankle fusion surgery. I may catch up to my training plan by March.

On the rollers for an hour and a half. Only my third time riding them, and I've got one handed and one footed riding down. Nobody was home, so I watched Breaking Away in the living room. I wasn't sweating enough halfway through so I turned the fan off.
