"Correct. This is how I feel. Not really in love with the whole "suffer all day long like a dog in the sun or rain" mode. "

You disappoint me.....riding those hills is not suffering..it's a privilege. Plus, the weather's going to be awesome!

Brewery Creek is a great choice. But if you are running late and can't get in, Cafe Four (across the street) is a great choice for wood fired brick oven pizza.

Thanks Stew. Your talking me out of doing the 200K, in favor of shorter miles and more beer!

No, no, no....remember? We specifically discussed that I would sacrifice and do an "un-official" 33k route and act as a beer tester while waiting for you guys to get done with the 200K.

...btw - you're driving back.

We have a reservation at Cafe Four. Glad to hear it is a good choice.

Stew ... this is potentially disasterous to my attempt at 200k. How do I have any confidence there will be any beer left if I make the turn for 200k??? How can I be certain???

I tried to ride the Alien's wheel last night and they got medieval on my ass (there are two aliens, alien1 and alien 2). I was able to keep up with them on one set of hills, looked down, and my hear rate was at 99%. Burn a match maybe ... If I try that on a big hill me thinks my heart will explode.

After Stew's last email about needing more riders for this event to not lose money, I'm feeling a little guilty for not signing up.

Does anyone have room in their car for an extra rider, or need to share a room?

I technically have room in the van, but the room is not mine to offer and is probably pretty full at this point.

Thanks for the offers!

Is a cot an option in the room? What hotel are you guys staying at, I could check for an extra room.

Considering the hilliest ride I've ever done was New Glaris ... I'm soooooo totally in trouble.

Let's see ... on one side, we have 15,000 ft of climing.

On my side we have:

1. No experience with serious climbing.
2. Significantly out of shape and still recovering.
3. Climbing has always been my biggest weakness and besides ... I'm fat.

Huh ... 3 against 1. I should have no problems. How much climbing in the 300k?
