FermiLab Cyclists
Just a heads up to those of you who ride at FermiLab. There is a major crackdown over there for cyclists blowing through stop signs. I ride over there quite a bit and stopped to chat with the security and they were telling me that they had all "had it" with the blatant disregard shown for the rules of the road there and were starting to issue tickets.
I truly fear that if this behavior continues, cyclists may lose the privilege of riding on this DOE property.
I can't say I would blame them for kicking us out considering what I see just in my limited riding over there.

In this 'backwards' money-grubbing society we're getting to today, it would only take another 9/11 type event to pernamently shut Fermi down to cyclists for good. Those officials should of had the trail circle around the outer fringes of the grounds there.

We ride thru there a lot, both on the trail, and roads. We always obey traffic rules, and it saddens me when I see the opposite - and they will be the loudest complainers, as they think they own the roads thru there..... they sail thru there, throwing paper and plastic wrappers, disobeying traffic signage, buzzing slower riders, and wonder why they are being singled out.
I, for one, am happy to see security clamping down. It's a nice place to ride and enjoy.
