You do realize that frames are made year round at the factory don't you? Then there is assemble that has to be done, boxed, loaded in a cargo container, shipped across seas, unloaded from ship, go through customs, loaded on truck, shipped to wharehouse, and loaded and stored again. Then enough of the new model bikes have to be accumulated so as to meet immediate demand.

I see. I thought bikes are assemble just like car and go to show room and sell at the lot. Maybe they make all at one time? Or it takes this long to sell a bike?
My bike the same picture as on Sirrus website. I have only added a saddle bag and two water holder.

Take a look at this sick basterd. Not a Sirrus, but a flat bar custom made here on Norway's versjon off CL. Less than 15,5 pounds(7kg) and looks great! Price 3k$ :-)

Hi All,
New member here.
I am looking to get a Sirrus Pro carbon 2016 soon and was wondering if the Continental GP 4 season 700 x28C tyres will fit the bike? Is this tyre size good enough for road and light trail riding? The stock tyre is 700x25C from my understanding. I'm 178cm and 80kgs.
Thanks.

Another newbie. Considering the Sport Carbon. I can get the 2016 at a discount but only in large. I am 64 years old, 6', 235 with a 31 inch inseam. My LBS says they prefer me in the XL but can extend the bar forward a centimeter or so on the large. Make sense or should I pay extra for an XL? I do have some neck and shoulder problems and they want to extend me somewhat to keep me from bunching up as I understand it.

I rode the XL in the model with the carbon fork, aluminum body and it felt a bit more comfortable. I rode the L in the model with the all aluminum, I am not sure which models those are. Whichever I get will have to be ordered.
Is it your thinking my size pretty much dictates an XL? Thanks!

Has anyone taken off their grips and replaced them? If so, are you interested in selling them to me? I'm specifically looking for the body geometry ones with the integrated bar ends. I want a pair for my mountain bike and absolutely love them on my Comp.
PM me if you'd like to get rid of them. TIA.

The Color sold me
Did not enjoy riding my mountain bike, but now this red bike urges me on. From pickup truck to sport car is how it feels.

So, I bought a 2015 Sirrus Sport Disc in July 2015. I loved it and put 1200 miles on it. Admittedly, many of those miles were on a smart trainer connected to Zwift. Today, I bought a 2017 Sirrus Sport Carbon Disc. Will have the bike shop take accessories from the "old" and put on the new (they do this for free when purchasing a bike, so why not have them do it...). I ride with a luggage rack Bontrager Interchange Rear Trunk Bag - Trek Bicycle Superstore and Bontrager BackRack L - Trek Bicycle Superstore New bike doesn't have holes at the top of the seat stay so dealer has ordered a seat post clamp with the points on each side where the top of the rack can be connected. So, that won't be switched between the bikes tomorrow. I have been lusting all summer and really began lusting after it with the 2016 model. The bike stock weighs a little over 4 pounds less than my Sport non-carbon. I know it is only four pounds, but that will make a difference to me taking the bike in and out of the house. Plus, I am hoping the carbon will absorb the road a bit more and perhaps reduce the irritation to my wrist (right one only). The main reason I got this bike, though, is just because I fell in love with it. Pics to follow, but probably not until the rack and bag are moved to it.
Edit: I just remembered that I can attach pics. So the first picture is of my 2015 Sirrus Sport Disc that I bought in July of 2015. The second bike is my new 2017 Sirrus Sport Carbon Disc that I picked up this past Saturday. Also turns out the bike comes stock with the kind of seat binder that allows for the rack to be attached. I found this in the specs and pointed it out to the dealer so I was able to get the rack and bag transferred immediately.
Oh, and some how I ended up saving 17 pounds from the old bike to new bike. I added lighter pedals and a lighter mirror, but that can't possibly account for much.

I imagine it would be great training aid for those wanting to ease into clipless.
