What year and value?

I came across this bike on Craigslist. I've been looking for a used hybrid. Is this worth $250? It's a trek 7500 multi track. 17.5 " frame. What year is it?

Thanks

I thought it might be an 06, but wasn't certain. It does certainly look like an 04. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

According to bicycle blue book, if the bike was in 'like new' condition it'd only be worth ~$150.

I don't take the blue book values as gospel, but I personally would not pay $250 for it.

I agree. After seeing that it was priced quite a bit higher than the value listed in the blue book, I decided to continue to keep looking. I wouldn't have minded paying a bit more than that but it seems like it was overpriced. The owner said that it was 3 or 4 years old. I'm not sure if the owner didn't remember, didn't know the year or was just trying to pass it off as newer.
