Carbon Frame Hybrid

This is getting really spendy, but for an extremely comfortable carbon flat bar road bike, you would be hard pressed to beat this:
Liscio / Flatbar / Shimano XT | Volagi Cycles
I have back problems too, and the Volagi design does a great job of keeping the road chatter out of the seat post.
Also these bikes are very flexible for tires size; for an extra soft ride you can get bigger tires all the way up to 47mm.

I just don't know about that price for that kind of groupset.......
I would have expected a higher level set for bikes over $3000.

Bikes: Volagi Viaje (rando/gravel/tour), Cannondale Slice 4 (tri/TT), Motobecane Fantom PLUS X9 (plus tires MTB)
I love the bike and the company, but yes, they're a bit pricey. It's a small semi-custom shop; they assemble every bike to order for the particular customer. Their service is out of this world. You can get the same or same-ish group set from one of the big manufacturers for less $. I feel like I got my money's worth for the unique frame design and what it does for me, as well as the great company/service and the advantage of getting the exact components I wanted.
