converting an mtb
hi everybody. I had an mtb but after my birthday I have 2 mtbs. I wanna convert my first mtb to a faster bike in order to have long journeys. it is 3x7 speed and also has 20" frame and 29" wheels with v brakes. what do you suggest me?

29" wheels open you up to a wide variety of tires. Perhaps 28mm to 35mm slick tires.
You might browse this thread.

Of course, you could also trade the MTB in for a road bike.

A 7-speeed rear on a 29" mtb is probably a freewheel model, which would indicate that it's an inexpensive bike. A theory that's strengthened by the bike having rim brakes.
Some narrower, slicker tires is probably about the effort level of conversion that's reasonable for such a bike.
Sure, more can be done, but probably not in a financially sensible way.
