Are you staying with 7 gears on the rear? Then the Suntour crank should be okay. The Lugged years were 1990 1991 1992 1993. The crank sets were: 1990 Suntour XCM GX 28/38/48 1991 Suntour XCE 28/38/48 1992 ditto 1993 Shimano Altus A10. 30/40/50 Also those years all used Freewheels, not cassettes. 1990 Suntour Accushift Plus 13-30T 1991 13-15-17-20-23-26-30 1992 Sun Tour Accushift AP II, 12-30 1993 12-14-16-18-21-24-28 When I rebuilt my 750, I changed the crank so i could get a 22t small ring and longer than stock crank arms. i used a narrow range cassette so I would have more mid range gears, closely spaced. I sure don't need 90+ inch gears on my bikes. If I'm going down a really big hill, I'm happy to coast. |
I think it is a 1991
Good idea about the decal colors. Mine is black with white decals do i believe it is s '91.
Thanks QUOTE=rickpaulos;23750223]What colors? Trek changed paint colors and decal colors nearly every year on every model. That can help id the year. Are you staying with 7 gears on the rear?
