New guy with new Trek Zektor 3
First time with a hybrid bike. Have had a few mountain bikes over the years. Last year I got hooked on a couple of bike paths and just riding around town. Never really got serious into mountain biking. Traded in my mountain bike and opted for the Trek Zektor 3.
Just picked it up today and did a short 6.7 mile ride around the neighborhood. Guess I can't post any links to a picture of my toy bike yet. Oh well, as soon as I can I will share with you all.
My favorite bike path is in Bristol R.I. East bay bike path.

Congrats on the new bike. Those Zector bikes look interesting - let us know how you like it. I find myself riding the MTB less and less and riding my hybrid more and more nowadays - so, I have been looking at upgrading to an FX3 disc or maybe the Zector. Hope you enjoy your new ride!

I was interested in the FX 3 disc but chose the Zektor. Can't really explain why other than I liked the look of the zektor and was comfortable on it.

Thanks every one for the great comments. There are defiantly future plans for a bike rack!! I Just got back from the store with a pair of Vans, Black with white soles, only ones in my size. I was ok with that and then realized they matched my bike

Can now post links and pictures!! So here it is,

Now if the darn white stuff on the ground will go away and temps warm up. I jokingly said to my wife that it would rain for a month because I purchased my new bike and want to ride it. Instead it's been snow and cold lol.

I'm a little bit late to this party, but am considering a Zektor 3 myself. I'm 5'9" with long limbs, considering a 56cm size. I currently ride a 54cm Cannondale Caad8 road bike and it's just slightly too small. I'd say I'm more of a true 55cm.
Would you, in my shoes: order the 53cm or 56cm?
ETA: The LBS doesn't have either a 53 or 56cm model in stock for me to try out.

I'm not sure I can Help you out. I am 5'10" so pretty much same height, I trust my bike shop and have purchased a few bikes over the years from them. They set me up on the 56cm. I personally felt like it was to big (Tall). Then again I came from a Trek X-Cal 8. I wound up talking to the bike shop owner and he let me return the bike since I only road it once for a short distance. I felt at home on a 2018 Trek FX S 4 and now takes up the spot the Zektor 3 did at home.
Sorry if I can't be much help

That helps a lot actually, thank you. I feared that the 56cm recommendation was off. Was it an issue with standover height being too tall, with your groin being too close too the top tube, or was it an issue of your legs feeling too stretched out? How was the reach to the handle bars, too stretched out there also?
Thanks for your help.
