Curious if anyone has taken the striping off of your FX3 and what it looks like. I'm considering taking it all off and just leaving the TREX word on the one piece

Thanks

Bikes: '17 Colnago C-RS (Full 5800); '16 Specialized Sirrus Elite

Guessing it would look more plain/boring than it would clean, but that's just my opinion. I kind of like my bikes loud.

Most of my Treks use graphics that are either silk-screened on or painted on or otherwise applied under the final clear coating, meaning it wouldn't be possible to remove any of them. What vintage FX 3 are we talking here? I would imagine that any FX 3 has this type of graphics application, where it wouldn't be possible to remove individual stripes or colors.

I remove every sticker on my bikes that can come off, especially the ones on the wheels, like hokiefyd said, most are under the clear coat and you can't remove them. Though I think leaving the brand name and model stickers on the bike is a good idea, much easier to identify the bike if you have it say 10 years or so and need to do some serious repairs or upgrades, I also think its easier to sell with the model on it as well.

I like the striping--it's the best part of the paint job IMHO.
