What model year is this Trek FX 7.2?
I picked up a Trek FX 7.2 for my son. Beautiful bike!
How can I tell what model year the bike is? I suspect that it is a 2016 but would be nice to know for sure.

The easiest way is to go to Trek's website and look on the bottom of the home page under Support. Bike companies often have model archives or catalog archives. You should be able to match it up on paint scheme and component offerings since you know it's a 7.2.
Also, if you put some pics on your post, I'm sure many here will weigh in with the correct year.
