I need new cables. What color do you guys think would look best on my bike? I was thinking maybe some white. I'll see what colors the bike shops around me have.

All the LBS had in white cable housing was brake cable housing. So I bought that, two new inner cables, and a new brake noodle for the front V-brake (the old one was destroyed). There is a lot of friction in the rear brake. I am 99% sure it is at the noodle, so I am going to buy a new noodle for the rear brake and be done with it. I just ordered some white Jagwire shift cable housing on ebay and should have it within 2 days of halloween. Once I receive it, I will take it to the LBS to be cut down so I can install it on my bike.
Here is the cable setup as it is right now:

I've always used a Dremel to cut through the housing. I'd imagine some real nice wire cutters should work too.

Did you ever try to find out the weight? - I'm always curiois with Cro-mo about weight.
P.S Brown Brooks saddle would complement those grips.

If you're going to be working on bikes just get a cable cutter. They aren't all that expensive and work well. I used to hacksaw them and then grind the end square with a grinder. Know I just grab my trusty Park tool cable cutter and in one snip I am done.

Bad thing is that winter is here already - first frost and around 30 F right now. It's time to lube the chain in my mountain bike to get it ready for winter rides.
I would ride more often and longer distances if not my terrible sciatic nerve pain since I broke my back 3 years ago.
Take care of your backs guys! ;-)
BTW...should we create Crosstrail topic ?
