Beautiful bike and a nice snag!

I never find good deals on my local CL, they just don't come along often at all, and when or if they do they are gone!

That does match better, looks like a Trans-It bag. Your bike looks great, and you saved me the trouble asking you what the specs were, over on the Road forum. (LOL) I figured you had already posted it before, and was reluctant to ask. After looking at your bike I decided to ditch the reflectors, and kickstand on mine today. Richard

That really was a nice find, I watch CL all the time. And never see a Trek FX come up, just maybe once or twice. And there gone quick.

I ditched my kickstand after realizing it was about a pound and a half of deadweight. I got rid of my front and rear reflectors when I got lights. I then took my lights off because I don't do any night riding (yet!). The reflectors on the wheels fell off after about 800 miles. I was just riding along, hit a bump and they cracked in half and fell off.

Thanks. The ride is smooth and silent. This is the best ever bike for myself. So far I have done just over 1000 miles. By the way, this brand is pretty popular in Australia.

Unless you plan on going above an 8 speed rear cog, your not going to notice any REAL difference in shifting, cables probably make more difference. And yours seem to look new. Richard : )

Note : some people say the DEORE will stay adjusted longer, I have had Tourney's that stayed adjusted for over a 1000 miles.
(if someone tells you it will shift smoother, they ARE trying to sell you one, or just don't know what there talkig about)

Pics will be posted this evening, but the drop bars are now on the Schwinn, still need to adjust derailers and brakes, but the Specialized has flats and everything is adjusted and ready to ride/sale.

Very cool bike. 18 lbs is extremely light. I am assuming that is not including your pedals and light correct? Because my carbon road bike with Force is 17.6 lbs wih pedals and cages. I would be almost heart broken if your hybrid as is, was basically the same weight.

Yup..that's right. 18 lbs is without the bike accessories and pedals. This is the top of the line of hybrid for this brand. Excellent brake cable management, hidden in tube. Avanti is pretty popular in Australia.

My Acera has stayed adjusted for nearly 1500 miles. The cables are almost brand new. I replaced brake and shifter cables+housing in November, when I started going with my white theme. I think my shifter cables are a bit long, so I will probably either go to the bike co-op and trim the current cable down or just use my spare housing and trim that down to fit.

Great find! Craigslist is really hit and miss, but it seems much more the miss in my area. People asking like $100 off of the MSRP of bikes more than 5 years old, etc.
