Like at two in the morning when I'm sleeping; that's when the one I wanted this past weekend popped up. I responded to the ad by 7am, but I still wasn't fast enough. I knew I shouldn't have slept in Sunday!

I also live in an area where bikes and biking aren't particularly popular - so there isn't much of a demand.

Love my 2006 Trek 7.7fx, bought new. Full ulterga's, including crank. 28 wheels. To many miles to count. Tried to up grade, bought 5.5 trek, sold it. 7.7fx more fun. Went couple years, bought Cannondale high end road bike. Rode it for one season, sold it. Back on my 2006FX, felt like my lost puppy had come home. Love to get something new and shiny but don't think its out there.

First 1500km done on new bike, very pleased with it...
New Helo Hex red skewers to match other red details and just ordered Thomason Elite layback seatpost (was on my wish list for almost 2 years)

Yeah I was going to say that rear housing looks a bit too long.
Love the bike but man it would smokin' hot with disc brakes.

I think he had the disc, but returned/traded for v-brake ... cause its lighter ??? ... the fronts are just as bad as the rear, theres another pic where the front brake housing, looks like spinnaker... but then again I need to shorten mine also ...I do like how clean and simple it looks, all black and white, then when you look closer, there are red chain ring bolts and red ferrels, is just the right amount of "bling" / "flash". ( whatever you call it )

Yes, I had the sam frame but with disc brakes. Didn't like them, so much more Vbrake man Not because the weight but simplicity and just about right amount of braking power for me. Discs are better, stronger but loose the purpose on bike that is used only for road.
as for housing, yes it's long but for now is not giving me any problems, shifting and braking is perfect and i love white details to be seen. I'm planing on changing the brakes for some xt/xtr's and then I will cut off "spinnaker"
thanks for comments, it's a pleasure to see that other people like the bike as much as I do.

If you love bikes look at this collection you will love it!

I simply had to make this video after meeting "James" a very enigmatic man who has taken it upon himself to collect one bicycle from each developmental epoch for future generations to enjoy , a kind of time capsule if you will !

Love that saddle. I bet it allows the butt to breathe. Actually, I'm thinking about one of these myself. Is it comfortable? It looks nice.

I've only ever ridden on stock saddles (the vinyl or pleather or whatever the hell they are variety) and have never even looked into one like this. I'd like to upgrade at some point, not in any hurry though. Are these actually comfortable or is it more of a weight reduction thing? I know comfort is subjective, but just looking at that makes me think it would be pretty rough
