WOW!!! Don't ever take your eyes off it when you go riding. Heck - I'd carry an UZI on my back while riding that oh-so-shiny gadget!

LOL dude. no, haven't solved the saddle issue yet. I have not been able to get the bike to the shop - i've been a little busy... maybe this weekend...? the bike is still totally 100% ridable for short jaunts of like 10 miles. it is on the longer trips (with more bumps) that the saddle nose shifts upwards...

Seriously, that is one beautiful bike. Of course you realize you are now obliged to keep it way clean...<g>

Many thanks. It is a joy to ride.
One of my other passions is auto detailing. The Trek has seven layers of Zaino sealant on her paint....oatmeal wouldn't stick to it now.
I am really liking the ever so small change that the Thomson stem made in the cockpit....much more comfortable for me.

Understand depth of field.. you have a very static subject with no movement... so you can shoot slow shutter speeds to get larger apertures that have a larger range of "in-focus." AND you CAN trot out a tripod to use even slower shutter speeds. Lastly, understand the range of "in-focus" will extent more behind your focus point than in front of. There's more, but this should get you going/feeling better!

Hi, I am considering a new bike and wonder if there are any after market items to provide an alternate hand position?
Thanks - RWR

You can add bar ends or swap to a different type bar altogether.

Finally got the clipless pedals on my 7.5FX. My brothers brother-in-law who owns a bike shop recommended the Shimano XTR PD-M970, He wanted me to have the Bontrager RL Road shoes, but found they only take Look type cleats. Ended up with the Bontrager Road Race which take the SPD type cleats. They don't come in 1/2 sizes which I needed but the whole number size fits fine. Easy entry and release.

Close ups are so much easier with manual focus. Can the G6 manual focus?

Wow. Just received my 2009 leftover (at a great price) and it is great. It's replacing a 2001 7500fx. I love that bike but I'd been doing more and more riding (1,600+ miles in 2009) and it was time for a step up in ride. The 7500fx has held up really well but there is no comparison. The 7.7FX is a great bike.

Congrats on the 7.7FX. Hard to find leftover 09 7.7's since shops tend to not carry a lot of that bike in inventory.

Anyone experiencing major software issues with this board? I kept writing posts in this thread and kept getting blank posts... then I couldn't seem to edit my posts, nor delete them. Today I see by some miracle, the one post I originally DID write. The post from Panther007 I referred to DID show some message text at one point... it had been blank previously. NOW I see another post after mine that has no text, so I think he and I are experiencing the same thing.
It "feels" like it may take a LONG while for the thread to display what you may have done...
Ah, this one seemed to post right away like one would expect... now I'm doing an edit to include this line.
OK the edit seemed to work as expected, only odd thing is my message carries #0!!!

This is my first visit back since the vBulletin makeover...having a hard time accessing the site from work. Thanks for the PM sh00k...maybe the new gateway will work better.
I haven't been on the Trek since mid December. Too cold and too wet.
