I had Switchblades on my MTB in the eighties. They were not carbon. It's cool to see these ancient products still in production. Yes mine were installed to address issues resulting from a front end collision. It was the previous owner who had crashed the bike though, a fact he neglected to tell me when he sold me the bike. He's still a friend but I trust him about as far as I can throw him.

Accidentally snagged this picture on my phone. I think it's pretty cool. My leg is not blurry (as it's not moving) but the ground is (moving in relation to me).

Maybe I misinterpreted Alpadog's post. But I agree, this stuff should go elsewhere at any rate. Then there would be nothing to misunderstand, etc. In addition, one should always consider stating one's point in an overt manner, thereby minimizing any cause for "confusion". :backpedal:
