This is the O Barn bus way in Adelaide it runs 15km's from the hills to the city and has a bike path both sides and the bike path continues another 15km's to the beach along the river torrens its one of my favorite rides.
The O Barn bus way is the only other one outside Germany where it was bought from. Basically buses just turn off public roads onto these rails while the driver takes there hands off the wheel and sit on 110kph.

Wait a sec, only other one outside Germany?? Ours have no drivers. Mind you they only run from the Terminal to Terminal at Kansai Airport (Osaka) ;) lol

Seriously though, that is an incredible set-up there in Adelaide.

You young whipper snappers.....it's a very old idea.

I'm guessing this is the style you see the most though now?

No. I usually see bullhorns with levers that plug into the end of the bar.

Yes unfortunately. I have a friend with a beautiful bike I tried to load once onto BF, and his name includes "that" word. Unfortunately I named the photo with his name and I can't post it unless I change it. Funny stuff NOT.

Anyway stiff poo poo....
I got a new mobile phone so I've started clicking away again.

Haha, I was thinking of your comments on the helmets or lack thereof on DC riders when I decided to take that picture.

No it's ok, I was trying to work out if it's a motor-bike or bicycle helmet. The reason I mentioned BMX, is because it's been a long time since I saw a BMX race so I don't know what they wear now. In my BMX days (mid to late 80's) that helmet style was the rage. (dreaming Redline Proline, ahhhhh...)
I know now-a-days and previous, serious Down Hillers use similar.

(^.^)b

I love living here so much. Seriously changed my outlook on life. Yes, there is wealth everywhere here, but for some reason my lust for greed I had in Australia disappeared when I came here. I guess it was the emphasis on "Beauty in Simplicity" within Ikebana (flower arranging) and the gardens which altered me.

By the way, you probably know the complexity in Ikebana and their gardens which make them appear simple. ;)

^ Nice 7.3fx!

I have a friend who says he once had a Jeep branded bike.. But he said it had disc brakes :o.

giantcfr1 08-31-11 08:34 AM

Quite a comparison there between the two. I'd love to bring the Jeep back to life. Beautiful photos too thankyou.

KungPaoSchwinn 08-31-11 09:20 AM

The jeep was given by a friend, i had a post somewhere in here about restoring it but many member suggested the cost to restore is not worth the value for the bike even if it's new.

qmsdc15 09-02-11 05:47 PM

The Jeep looks just fine as a decorative object hung from the side of your house. I have a junker on my front porch that was given to me by a 'friend'. :) Great lighting on the Trek photos!

Retro downtube shifters, threaded headset and quill stems...yeah, I think it's pretty attractive.

Oh, you meant the girl. ;)
