I sure hope this isn't yours!
This bike park has many examples of how not to care. |

Does it ever move or is it always in the same spot? It looks like it's been sitting there a long time. How can the chain still work with that much rust? I would think the links would be frozen stuck.
This bike has been in that bike park since new and until April, was parked in various spots. |

Back from a weeks holiday with family in Denmark. Denmark is not far away, but the bike scene differ a lot from Sweden. We stayed in northern Denmark around the Skagen-area which attracts hords of bike tourers. I did some riding myself, bringing my vintage tourer. The local brand Avenue seemed to be hot wherever I went. (White bike). Some snapshots on bikes in Denmark:http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=212763http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=212764http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=212765http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=212766http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=212767

It looks odd to me to see the integrated wheel lock on such a modern looking frame (the white Avenue). I only see those type of locks on old fashioned looking European bikes like this Batavus I recently saw. Such bikes are unusual around here, rare enough that I was inspired to take pictures of it. I would have needed a bigger lens to get the handlebars in the shot. :D
Such a lock is completely inadequate here in "the land of the free" (quote from our national anthem) but my impression is they are still used in places like Holland and Denmark? http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...e/DSC03023.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...e/DSC03024.jpg Nice coffee cup holder "bar-ista". http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...e/DSC03025.jpg |

I enjoyed your video. Be careful riding one hand on those narrow mountain roads!

This is a Hybrid right?
I bought it to ride on path/gravel/occasional road http://athenssidingwindows.com/wp-co...6-1024x768.jpg It's a Hybrid if you want it to be a Hybrid. You call the shots and by the way..nice bike and brand. |
A true hybrid would have a saddle you could sit on.

I bought it to ride on path/gravel/occasional road I think I have the same bike, but in all black. I'm hoping to change out the tires next weekend. I'm going to put Borough CX Armadillo Elite tires. I'm also still shopping around for some decent fenders. So far I've changed out the pedals (Shimano clipless), seat (Serfas RX-921L) and grips (Ergon GC3). |

My broken chain. Happened around the 980 mile mark on my bike. I was stopped at a stoplight right before a small hill. It had just turned green, so I stood on the pedals and cranked hard like I always do for hills. Only this time, when the light turned green, I heard a snap and felt a release of pressure. My first thought was "oh ****, did I break my chain?" My second thought was "No.. It can't be my chain, it only has 980 miles on it. I should get much more than that out of my chain!" But with my newest addition of toe clips, it was a little difficult to get off of a still-standing bike without falling. I dismounted and saw my chain trailing behind my bike like a tail on a kite. I was about 1.5mi from home, so I called my parents who then took me to the LBS to get a new chain (SRAM with masterlink) fitted. I didn't even get to move 3 feet at that intersection. |
