2012 Jamis Coda Comp now available
I spoke to the guy in the LBS last December about buying a 2012 Coda Comp. After contacting the Jamis folks, he said they were going to offer them in black and silver, as well as blue and white. I said I would prefer the black and silver if they could get one. I was told they would not be available until late January. I got a call today and they are now available, but only in the midnight blue and white color scheme, so I had them order me one. Just wanted to let folks know they are now around, thanks. Pictures pretty soon.

MSRP $775, I got them to change the tires (pretty much a wash), add a rack and a Cateye Strada wireless for that price.

I'm also interested in this bike, since it has the lowest gear ratio of any hybrid I've investigated, with a 26 tooth small chain ring and a 32 tooth large cog ring. I live in hilly Cincinnati. But I wonder how 'midnight' the blue is, because the image on Jamis' site is more of a medium blue. I would think it would be a navy like. Was anything mentioned about this in your discussion with the guy at your shop?

Just wondering aloud here. How is the riding position on the Coda line vs. the Trek FX? I can never understand those geometry stats. To me the FX looks a bit more aggressive. I wonder if a Coda would be a bit more comfy for 1 hr rides around town or local bike path. The cost seems a bit better with the Jamis so it is tempting
