7.2 to 7.4??

I presently have a 7.2 Trek Hybrid, but I would like to upgrade to a better one. However, I don't want a compac (which is what the 7.5 and 7.6 are) Is it worth it to move to a 7.4?? will I notice a difference? i don't want to spend the money if it will ride pretty much the same as the 7.2. Any suggestions?

The only sure way to find out if you can differentiate between the two is to ride them both. Since you already own the 7.2, it should be much easier to figure that out now than if you were doing a 'blind' test.

Hi Custard,
I agree, the only way to determine if there is a noticeable difference is to try both, one right after the other, and on the same route/path.

For what it's worth, I did find a difference, probably due to the carbon fork and better components, and bought my 7.4 about 3 weeks ago. Good luck!

Best regards
Barry

Bikes: trek fx wsd 7.2

I'm in the same spot, just one week in with 7.2 and already rode 80 miles. Wondering if I should upgrade to 7.4 while I can. Wondering if ride on rough pavement will be smoother.
