If you read my other thread you know I didn’t like the saddle that came on my new Giant Escape 2 bike, matter of fact I’m convinced it was made by a old Nazi! It felt like steel with a cover on it. So I got my Planet Bike Men's A.R.S. Anatomic Relief Bicycle Saddle today in the mail and put it on and wow, what a difference. Now my butt and big Jim and the twins, not to mention my perineum love me again. It’s soft and comfy, and it’s supposed to break in more after 4 or 5 rides. The first thing I was surprised about was the weight, it weighs about the same as my stock saddle and almost the same size. I rode 17 miles and didn’t have to standup to relieve any pain as I was doing with the stock saddle. Awesome saddle for 25 bucks. Also, the Planet Bike logo in the front came off after a few miles as it’s only a sticker and you can see it gone on the last pic of the seat. Here’s some pics.

I also got some highly reflective tape since I’m a night rider.

Any soft saddle I'm forced to ride on hws me in pain in 5 minutes. All my saddles are made ofviron with a cover. Glad you found one that works though. Nothing worse than a saddle you don't like.

I don’t think so, I had a nice comfy saddle on my last bike that I rode for over 1000 miles with no problems. Everyone’s different.
