Split Saddles with Flatbars?

Does it have any advantage in saddle sore mitigation to get a split saddle if you have flatbars on your bike that keep you in the mostly upright position? I was looking at an Ergon SM3 saddle and all it has is an indentation channel about 2/3 of the length. I have the Specialized Targa 143 saddle now on my Sirrus Elite Disc.

If your saddle sores are on ya nuts or pecker the split saddle might help, but most people get saddle sores on their sit bones and I can't imagines a split saddle would make any difference. I have two split saddles and one "standard" and I believe putting in the kms will condition your butt. My saddle bones have thickened skin over them. Very sexy.

Saddle Sores , to my experience are a skin cleanliness issue.
Saddle Discomfort OTOH is different..

You can get saddle sores from impacts hitting your sit bones.
