Lock ring loose.
I see my lock ring starting to come loose, anyone know what size lock ring wrench that will fit my 2012 Giant Escape 2?

A modern bike with a cup and cone bottom bracket?
You will need a hook spanner and a pin spanner. Pin spanners come in different sizes, but theres an adjustable one

the lock ring takes the hook spanner. the pin type is used to adjust the bearing preload and hold it in place as you tighten the lock ring.

Are you sure that is the exact BB? I checked your specs and it appears different.
Isn't it this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shimano-BB-U...xp_grid_pt_2_0

There are supposed to be a thread or two sticking out the left side, if it is the BB shown in the picture. Is the BB axle loose? If not, there nothing to fix.

No, nothing is loose. If that's the way it's supposed to look then I guess I'm fine. This is why I love this forum. Thanks everyone.
