Miles ridden
My fitness schedule is 20miles every other day with longer weekend rides. Odometer 1567 miles logged since I purchased my new ride in April.
What have you logged so far this year?

Thanks. I have commuted 5 days a week, 8 months a year, for 24 years. I will pass 67,000 moles next week. 30,000 miles on one bike, and 19,000 on the current bike. Time for a new bike this winter. Looks like it will be a Specialized Sirrus Expert Carbon

Have you worked at the same place for those 24 years or have you always worked in your city's central district?

Two different places that are near one another. Spokane has a population of 200,000 and everything is pretty close to everything else. Hot summers and snowy winters. A great place to live, and also to commute by bike (most of the year).

I've only managed about 1200 miles this season - I don't ride in the winters here (much, too cold), and I wasn't able to get any proper rides in till mid April this year. Plus, I don't ride to work (often), so I only ride before or after work, and that usually limits me to 15-20 miles a go due to time constraints. Though I do get into the 30-40 mile range at the weekends.

1460 this year. I don't ride outside below 50 degrees.

florida is not about the temp of course but the winds threw winter can take the fun out of cycling at least for me. we get spells of 20mph + often that can last for weeks. i try even with the heat to ride the pristine conditions of summer as much as i can. @Mvcrash
my legs would pop right off after those numbers @giantcfr1
florida is pan cake smooth ): with nothing to climb but bridges. would love to cycle where you are!!
a very solid number for summer @WDH74
looks like you're going to crush last yrs number congrats @memebag

Nice numbers. I thought I would be able to get 1500 miles. Freezing during spring and rain all summer kept me away from that. I think I'm at 840. Bought the bike March 6th.
Last year I started on my first ride on July 1st on the old Walmart bike. 580 miles last year up through October. Took me 5 months to pass that number on the new bike.

Just started riding this year after about 20 years. I used to ride a MTB in college. Got my bikes in May and I've ridden a little over 600 this year. I travel 3 - 4 days a week so I only get a few days to ride a week. Some weeks only 1 day. I try to get between 30 - 50 miles/week. And when I am home, I alternate between the gym and the bike.

Weather here in the Midwest has been cold and wet. My annual goal is always the same (2000 miles). Todays ride put me at 1506 miles.
I am on target, more or less. The 2000 miles is always a goal.... if it was easy for me it wouldn't be much of a challenge.

It can get hot here in Houston, and the winds can be pretty strong, but compared to a lot of places we have more days for riding. We're just starting the great fall riding weather. That should last into December or so. It never snows here.

Maybe 500-700 miles, I just ride for to get out of the house as it has no AC and very warm in Seattle this summer.
In fact we might have had too much sunshine this summer.

According to MapMyRide, I've done 798 miles since I started doing this at the end of May 2014. I've not been riding as much in the last 4-6 weeks due to an assortment of reasons, but I'm getting back on the bike more often now (and it doesn't hurt that we're finally done with the 100 degree temps here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area).
Cheers,

I am getting pretty close to 2000 since March for the year. I don't have the exact figures because I would need to check the odometers on 3 bikes but the majority of the miles (1462) have been on my Trek FX7.3. My wife and I enjoy riding the tandem about 30-40 miles over two days on weekends and I also bought an Xcaliber (Trek) mountain bike mid summer and have ridden 200-300 miles on that.

Mrs. DowneasTTer and myself are lucky. Being both retired, living in Florida for 9 months and traveling in our motorhome during the summer, we try to ride 30 to 40 miles per day. So far this year according to "Pedalmybike.com" our total is 6868 miles. That's with no riding during the month of April due to surgery. Since retirement 7 years ago we normally average 8,000 miles/year.

So far I've logged 3819.19 after today’s ride.I ride at least 4 days a week usually 6 anywhere from 25 miles up to my longest route that’s 54 miles. I started keeping track of milage on April 18th with a goal of 2000 miles this year. Funny how fast the miles add up riding 4 - 6 days a week.

2640 miles this year after hitting 2000 miles in 8.5 months in 2013. Aiming for 4000 in 2014 and was on track until early Aug when I took off 4 weeks for a lingering upper leg injury. Just getting back to form and still hope to get there; usually ride 15-20 miles per day, 4-5 days per week. Have done several organized rides with 41-42 miles the longest......

I rode 211 days last year.....my first year since riding as a kid.....67 now. Logged almost 900 miles on an old mountain bike, dropped 48 lbs and enjoyed every minute of it. Part of the time, my dog runs with me and I've just now gotten into riding off road and it has been a blast. Reading lots now and learning so that I can get a new bike and make an informed decision about what to get. At the rate I'm going now, I will log about 2000 miles this year. Thanks to all the inspiring people on this forum!

I started riding again in May after about a 20 year layoff and have ridden 2247 miles so far this year. A couple of 50+ rides and lots of 40+. Best month was 507 miles in November. I am 66 and having a ball riding. Luckily I live in FL and can ride year around.
