Hello -- DB, here from ole Virginny
I am 72 and just bought a bike yesterday. Haven't ridden a bicycle since I was 15. I DO ride motorcycles extensively, so I know a bit two-wheeling it.
I have two artificial knees and recently I've noticed that my quad strength is declining. I've been a walker for some 25 years, and now am finding it is becoming a struggle. I am hoping the bike will give me greatly increased bending and strengthening.
Before my purchase, I did a lot of online researching and asking questions of other bikers. One of your members here, gave me good poop. My LBS did the rest and got me fixed up.
I do have questions though -- and will be asking them in the 50+ group.
