Newbie, Specialized Allez E5 2017?

Hello Everyone!

Newbie here! Just joined the community today and I'm really stoked to buy my 1st bike today.
As a newbie, I don't really know much about bike so for the past couple of days I've been relying to google, amazon and youtube reviews. I narrowed down all the bike that's within my budget, my price range is from $700 to $1000. I found one that IMO it's great entry level bike Specialized Allez E5 2017. I love running but I kinda wanna switch things a bit as alternative I'm getting this bike. I know a lot of mods and upgrades with cars but not on bikes so if you guys gave any suggestions or inputs that would be great.

I'm still debating between Specialized Allez E5 2017 and Specialized Allez E5 2017 SPORT. I think the only difference is the shimano crank? Not sure if I should get the sport for $200 more of stick with Specialized Allez E5 non sport and just do the upgrade later down the road.

Id like to thank u guys in advance for any input or comments.

Specialized Road Bikes - Mid Range

Sorry I don't have an answer for your "l debating between Specialized Allez E5 2017 and Specialized Allez E5 2017 SPORT" question.

I'm also new to the forum and am interested Specialized Bikes. I want to go a little higher on the price $2000 - $4000 range and am looking for input as to a good, solid, low maintenance road bike. I don't necessarily need disc brakes or electric shifters etc.

I do a fair amount of mountain riding, would prefer something light weight.

Thanks for any help.

Try to post in the Road Cycling section, as you would get more replies there. The riding season is about to start and bike shops would clear up previous year models to make way for the 2017 models, so I suggest looking into previous year models and for the budget ( $700 - 1000) get something with at least 2x10 speeds on it or better if you can get a 2x11 speed. Try to widen up your choices to just Specialized and those two bikes.
