I've been lurking around and using the information here to ID and date bikes and components for about three years now, but I am leveling up and beginning to post now. I live in Portland, Maine. I mostly ride around on a cream colored 1983 Fuji Del Rey that is nearly all original and which I tore down and fixed up after it was recovered from the local dump. I also have a JC Higgins 3-speed from the mid-late 50's that I ride in bad weather and a rotating gallery of other bikes that I have ridden for a time before eventually selling. I work on bikes in my attic and at the Portland Gear Hub when I have time. I absolutely love seeing someone riding around town on a bike that I fixed up. Thanks for all the help so far!
