Recovering corporate stiff

Hi everyone (I feel like I'm joining a support group.) My name is Rich and I'm a recovering corporate-aholic. After spending the last 15 years working 60 to 80 hour weeks in corporate America, I decided to chuck it all and make some major changes in my life.

So now I'm training for my first triathlon while helping a friend start a bicycle training/touring company (you can find our shameless promo under "Ride the TdF" in the Shameless Promo section.) Of course, now that I'm training, I'm completely hooked. I feel healthier than I ever have been and I look forward to new adventures on wide open roads.

Not to mention ditching the cold Wisconsin winter for the sunny climes of Europe every so often. It's truly rewarding to be able to pursue your passion every day!

I'm really sold on Felt and not just because that's what we offer at our cycling training camps. Right now, I have an F50 but I'm eyeing up the new S22 for tri-season. I have yet to take it for a test drive, but it's getting rave reviews. And I know for a fact Jim Felt won't disappoint.

Welcome! I'm in "recovery" also. For the same amount of years and similar work week as you, I slaved away at a major medical center. I started my "new life" in 1995 and have never looked back....it gets better each day. Now, the amount I "work" is entirely on my own terms. Cycling, health, and pursuing a well-balanced life have become my priorities. Life is way to short to spend it couped up in an office, etc., working all the time.

Congrads on your new adventures! Sounds like great fun!!!

Thanks, everyone! If all these nice welcomes are any indication, it sure seems I found a great "home" here.
