Bikes: 04 Cannondale Jekyll 600, 05 Specialized Dolce

Hi everyone, new member here from the East Bay in California.
Started mountain bike riding a couple of months ago when I picked up a 2004 Jekyll 600. Lovin' the bike!
We've got all types of terrain where we live, especially in the Oakland Hills, which are less than 10 minutes away. Singletracks that resemble the North Shore, trails with 3-foot logs, big drop ins, a lot of downhill singletracks, some fairly groomed fire roads, a lot of decent climbs.
Those familiar with the area: I've ridden trails like Chabot, Skeggs, China Camp, Tamarancho, Joaquin Miller and West/East Ridge of Redwood Park.
This year I look forward to riding Annadel, Downieville, Demo and Northstar.
I'm also looking forward to my first season racing mountain bikes -- a few duathlons, an Xterra tri, and several mountain bike challenges.

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.
Hi zx6roxy, one of my biggest regrets in life is that I did not discover the joy of mountain biking before I left California. I used to run through Annadel, too!
