Greetings earthlings..
My name is Mike, and I will soon be moving to Chicago (Lakeview), and will be using the good ol' two-wheeler as well as the EL for transportation.
I biked a lot in my youth, and completed a few triathlons and a century a couple of years ago. I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike; it was my best out of the three events, and good for my bad knees. I competed in the clyde division and have since packed on a few more pounds, but am looking forward to shedding them in my 'sans'-petrol future.
I have two bikes.
1st is an old beater 'hybrid'-wannabe I bought in the mid-nineties. It's a Diamond Back Response Sport with Shimano components. The only thing I've done to it is put some armadillo slicks on it, and is otherwise badly in need of an upgrade/overhaul.
2nd bike is a Saeco Caad4 R1000, I think it's the year 2000 model which I purchased in '05 and used for my triathlon needs with some speedplay pedals. I believe it's largely stock with Ultegra and 105 components, an upgraded Slice carbon fork, and a Profile Stryke carbon aerobar.
Looks somewhat like this.. Referred to as "Ol' Glory"

Anyways, look forward to my silly questions.
