Bikes: 2009 Specialized Sirrus

Hello from Denver!

Just found this site a few days ago. Until 2 days ago, I hadn't ridden my bike all year. I stumbled upon some information on the internet about commuting to work a few days ago, after being curious about all the folks I see along the road on my way to work. Did some research, and went out and bought a new bike to use for the road. So I now own a 1999 Schwinn Mesa(I bought it new, and used it a fair amount when I lived in MD for the trails out there, '03/04 timeframe), and a 2009(2010?) Specialized Sirrus. I was also getting tired of putting on a few extra pounds(about 10ish pounds more than I'd like to be), so I figured this would be a great way to get that off!

Currently residing in Littleton, CO, and had no idea the amount of trails/path/lanes that the Denver area has for bicycles! Picked up a metro Denver map at Bicycle Village yesterday, and was quite astonished. Looks like I don't have any excuses now for not riding. I look forward to riding downtown, along the Platte river now too. 23 miles in the last 2 days on the Sirrus, and liking it so far. Though my legs are a bit sore now.

Welcome, all seems good to me. You're covered as far as on/ off road. Lots of places to ride in Denver, no shortage of hills either. I'm near the shore, I fake it.
