Greetings from Cincinnati
Hello, everyone. After not riding a bike for over 25 years, I am getting back into cycling at age 45, mostly for the fitness aspect. For now, I am a "casual cyclist" meaning I mostly ride around neighborhoods and park trails near my home, but my intent is to get myself back into good enough shape so that I can someday tackle longer rides. Two things helped renew my interest: First, my daughter doesn't like riding alone, and there are few kids her age in the neighborhood. Then, as if on cue, a neighbor who was moving out was getting rid of his Puch Meteor Luxe road bike. I took possession of it, and while it is rideable, it does need some work. I don't know if I should fix this one up, or put the money in a new bike, so I welcome any thoughts and opinions on the subject.
Thanks, and if there's anyone else in the Cincy area, let me hear from ya.

My very humble opinion is to put your money into a new bike, unless you like retro!

That's pretty much what mine looks like. Apparently Puch contracted with a Taiwanese manufacturer, as there are decals on mine that say "Manufactured for Puch" and "Made in Taiwan". The components on it are labeled "Suntour Honor", but I have no idea of their quality.
Thanks for your advice. I will probably just put some inexpensive rubber on this to get me by until I can buy a new bike.
