Not a newbie
I began serious cycling in '83 with an amateur cycling team in southern Spain. I've been active in cycling ever since touring, TRIs, BI, racing, randonees, commuting etc. I've worked as a mechanic for many years and have supported bicycling advocacy in many different ways.
All of my bikes are pre-89, with my Bridgestone T700 having the most miles (over 50,000). I'm a roadie, but have mountain biked and on occasion cyclocross.
I live in Iowa now, but while living in Washington state averaged over 7,000 miles per year for 10 years.

Thanks for the welcome! Here's my T700 Warhorse. It's been all over the world with me and has over 50,000 miles on it.
